As I look back over the past seven years, since my journey began at Arizona State University in August 2016, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment. It was a period of growth and collaboration, a time of learning and sharing, and an era that I am proud to have been a part of. I can confidently say that the experience I garnered during my time at the university has not only transformed me professionally but personally as well.
My collaboration with various impactful teams, such as the Cooperation Lab, the Human Generosity Project, Zombified Media, and the Arizona Cancer Evolution Center, has profoundly shaped my career and my worldview. Each project presented unique challenges that fueled my passion and stoked my intellectual curiosity, while also imparting invaluable knowledge and skills. The diversity and significance of the work we did reminded me daily of the far-reaching impact of our collective efforts. It was a humbling and inspiring experience.
I am particularly indebted to my bosses, Drs. Carlo Maley and Athena Aktipis. Their guidance and leadership played a significant role in my professional development. They fostered an environment that encouraged not just individual growth but also emphasized the power of teamwork and collaboration. They were catalysts who fostered the spirit of synergy and mutual support, always ready to provide wisdom, insights, and direction whenever I needed it. Their unwavering belief in me gave me the confidence to push my boundaries and grow in ways I hadn't anticipated.
Indeed, the most profound lesson I have learned over these seven years is the power of collaboration. The efficacy of a team where members genuinely support each other and facilitate each other's growth is truly remarkable. I've come to deeply appreciate that supporting those around you not only uplifts them but strengthens the entire team, leading to greater success. It's like a beautiful symphony where every instrument plays its part to create a masterpiece. This realization is one that I will carry with me throughout the rest of my career.
The ACE Scholars Program, which I co-founded and co-directed, stands as a testament to this insight. It's an initiative that has thrived on the synergy of collaboration, teamwork, and a commitment to student success. Witnessing the transformation of the program from a concept to a thriving, life-changing opportunity for so many students has been one of the highlights of my time at ASU.
I take immense pride in every student who has been part of the ACE Scholars Program. Their courage, perseverance, and commitment to learning were truly inspiring. I admired their bravery in showing up for their interviews, the enthusiasm they carried on the first day of the program, and the resilience they displayed every day after that. Their eagerness to learn and grow has been a constant reminder of why we embarked on this journey in the first place. Equally, the team leads deserve special recognition. Over the years, they have led more than a dozen teams, sometimes with doubt, sometimes with confidence, but always with a desire to learn, grow, and support each other. Their leadership has been instrumental in shaping the program's success and enhancing the learning experience for all involved.

As my time at Arizona State University comes to an end, I am filled with a sense of melancholic fulfillment. It is not easy to say goodbye to a place that has been a cornerstone of my life for seven years. But I take solace in the fact that I am leaving richer than when I arrived, enriched with knowledge, experience, and lasting relationships.
